Harvest Monday May 15th 2017

This past week was much of the same as usual. I am still harvesting chard, lettuce, herbs etc on an as needed basis. The only pics I take of them is usually when I am giving things away.

This week I did get a first which is exciting! My pole beans are starting! In this picture I have them with the snow peas I harvested as well.

Here they are sauteed with garlic, coconut oil, salt, pepper, and a red bell I picked up at the farmers market here. It was yummy. I'm getting used to trying new vegetables.

And last but not least I have another batch of spicy banana peppers. I will be pickling what I have harvested so far this week.  Last year I dried them and use them for spicy dishes.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by Our Happy Acres to post and celebrate Harvest monday this week!

  2. Yay for the pole beans! My snap peas are just starting to bloom, but I haven't planted the pole beans yet. Your stir fry looks yummy.

  3. There's nothing like growing veggies to encourage yourself to eat more. I've become a veggie addict! Your stir fry looks really yummy. It will be a long time before I get to harvest fresh peppers from the garden.

  5. It's so great that you're harvesting pole beans and snow peas at the same time. Plus you're already getting peppers, so amazing. We just got our garden planted last week, can't wait to get some snap beans which are definitely one of my favorite things from the garden.
